TO GET TO “THE LODGE” ON THE CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO AT COLORADO SPRINGS
Take
I-25 to the Garden of the Gods Exit 146. Follow Garden of the Gods
east. Garden of the Gods turns into Austin Bluffs Parkway (at the
Nevada Avenue intersection). Continue up the hill and you will see the
university on your left. Use the second UCCS entrance onto
“UCCS”. Go three quarters of the way around the traffic circle
and turn right onto “Regent Circle”. Pass the parking garage and
park in LOT 7, shown in a blue circle on the campus map linked here. The workshop will be held in the “Upper Lodge”, which is building “28” in the orange box on the campus map.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PARKING:
We
have requested that LOT 7 be a “Do Not Ticket” (DNT) zone to begin 1/2
hour prior to the event start time and to expire 1/2 hour after the
event end time. This DNT applies to Lot 7 (next to Columbine
Hall) ONLY and does not include any other parking lot or the parking
garage.
“Do
Not Ticket” are periods during which the campus police will not ticket
for failure to display a parking permit. ALL OTHER PARKING
REGULATIONS WILL APPLY AND WILL BE TICKETED. This includes, but
is not limited to FIRE LANE VIOLATIONS, LOADING ZONE VIOLATIONS,
HANDICAPPED VIOLATIONS, METERED PARKING, RESTRICTED PARKING SPACES AND
NO PARKING AREAS.
Anyone parking in the visitor parking areas
(3rd level of parking garage or Lot 1) MUST PAY TO PARK. “Do Not
Ticket” requests do not apply to visitor parking.
